New York representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is accused of having defamed President Donald Trump by calling him a “rapist” on social networks in the midst of the controversy on the treatment by the Ministry of Justice of the Jeffrey Epstein case.
The far left democrat, who exchanged beards with Trump several times in their two political careers, weighed on the current controversy surrounding the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his New York prison cell in 2019 after having faced federal accusations related to children’s traffic.
“Wow who would have thought that the election of a rapist would have complicated the release of Epstein files?” Ocasio-Cortez posted on X Friday. She seemed to refer to civil trial 2023 oriented against Trump by the writer E. Jean Carroll. A jury found Trump responsible for sexual assault, but not rape, that Ocasio-Cortez criticisms have repeatedly cited in their condemnation of his use of the word “rapist”.
The comments came after the Trump Ministry of Justice said that there was no list of Epstein customers. But Trump supporters and legal experts warned the lawyer after abandoning the “R” bomb.
“The president should continue the AOC to bankruptcy. I realize that she is trying to enhance his profile, but it is far too far,” said legal analyst Phil Holloway to X on Saturday in response to a message from Ocasio-Cortez.

Other detractors of the legislator’s message said that the use of the word “rapist” occurs in the heels of ABC paying $ 15 million Trump, which will go to finance his presidential library, on the complaint of George Stephanopoulos in March of last year that Trump was deemed civilly responsible for rape in the E. Jean Carroll. Trump has denied several times, even by knowing Carroll, saying that she had made false allegations according to which he had raped her in a locker room in the department store in the 1990s in order to sell books from decades later.

“Donald Trump was not criminally sentenced to be a rapist. And I hope you were prosecuted for that in the same way that George Stephanopoulos was prosecuted and forced to pay $ 15 million to Trump. I hope you have millions of people for Trump, Porky. Response to Ocasio-Cortez.
“ Party too far ”: GOP legislators rally around Trump after Musk raised Epstein allegations
“It will be fun. AOC is so stupid that she called Trump a rapist – after ABC was forced to spend more than $ 16 million in a colony with Trump after George Stephanopoulos called him a rapist,” said Rachel Alexander, contributor to Townhall, X.
In March 2024, Stephanopoulos said in a tense interview with the Republican representative Nancy Mace that Trump was tried “responsible for rape” in a civil affair. Stephanopoulos showed a MACE clip discussed the victim of rape before asking him: “How do you get dirty your approval from Donald Trump with the testimony we have just seen?”
“You approved Donald Trump for the president. The judges and two separate juries found him responsible for the rape and for defamation of the victim of this rape,” said Stephanopoulos, referring to the legal victory of the accuser of Trump E. Jean Carroll.

Stephanopoulos repeated the complaint on the rape 10 times during the interview, previously reported Fox Digital, before Trump made a defamation action. ABC News and Stephanopoulos concluded a settlement agreement with Trump’s legal team before its second inauguration, paying $ 15 million and announcing the network and anchor “regrets” the comments made on air.
“The publisher’s note: ABC News and George Stephanopoulos regret the statements concerning President Donald J. Trump during an interview with George Stephanopoulos with the representative Nancy Mace on ABC this week on March 10, 2024”, the note of an editor in an article focused on the indicated interview.
Other social media commentators defended the use by Ocasio-Cortez of the word “rapist”, arguing that it had not used Trump’s name in her post and that a defamation case was unlikely.
Fox News Digital contacted the Ocasio-Cortez office for additional comments on the issue on Sunday, but did not immediately receive an answer.
“AOC likes to play as if it came from the block, but in reality, it is just a sad and miserable blockhead which is trying to compensate too much for its lack of self -confidence that followed it throughout its life,” said the director of white house, Steven Cheung, provided to Fox News Digital on Sunday.
