Conservative legislators were furious on Thursday morning after the “scorekeeper” of the Senate of the “Big and Beau Bill” of President Donald Trump judged that key parts of the GOP agenda bill should be deleted.

“The Senate parliamentarian is not elected. She is not responsible before the American people. However, she holds the right of veto on the legislation supported by millions of voters,” wrote Greg Steube, R-Fla. “”

He called the vice-president JD Vance to “cancel the parliamentarian and leave the will of the people, not a member of the staff behind the Senate procedure, determine the future of this country”.

The Constitution also appoints the vice-president of the Senate, although it is a largely ceremonial role except when they are necessary to vote in the room.

The Senate parliamentarian is generally appointed by the head of the majority of the Senate and is used for their pleasure, with no term limit.

Their role is to make apolitical judgments on the rules and procedure of the Senate. In the process of budgetary reconciliation, which the Republicans work now, the work of the parliamentarian consists in deciding whether the aspects of the bill are the directives necessary to qualify for the threshold for passing the simple majority of reconciliation.

However, with several decisions that have found that the main parties of Trump’s agenda do not fall into the budgetary guidelines for reconciliation, the Republicans on the other side of Capitol Hill – in the House of Representatives – urge the Senate to break the standards and ignore several of the decisions of the parliamentarian.

“They should take into account the president’s advice – do not change the bill,” said representative Ralph Norman, RS.C., to Fox News Digital earlier this week.

Meanwhile, senator Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., Even called the parliamentarian.

“The Senate parliamentarian also judged that illegal immigrants are eligible for federal student loans. Doesn’t she realize that our student loans is already out of control?

“The Senate parliamentarian should be dismissed as soon as possible.”

And representative Eric Burlison, R-MO., Told Fox News Digital: “House Freedom Caucus fought teeth and nails for Medicaid reforms which would allow taxpayers of billions of taxpayers and would protect the program for those who really need it. But now, the unadumped parliamentarian has canceled the main provisions of (the bill.”

“The Senate must act quickly to correct this failure,” said Burlison.

Representative Jeff Van Drew, RN.J., wrote on X Wednesday evening: “Respect for the rules is important, but respect for voters too. They did not give the staff who are not elected the power to decide what is in the budget – this is the work of the congress.”

“This should not be like that. Republican senators are not required to adhere to everything she says,” said Van Drew.

Representative Keith Self, R-Texas, said on the platform: “The parliamentarian of the Senate Voyou should be rejected, just like militant judges.”

Despite the calls of the republicans of the furious chamber and certain senators, the head of the majority of the Senate John Thune, RS.D., was held firm in his position that he would not seek to cancel the parliamentarian.

“It would not be a good result to make an invoice,” he told journalists.

Asked about the decision of the service parliamentarian on providers, Thune said there were things that the Republicans could do to “get the same result”.

“I mean, we may not have everything we want in terms of providers’ tax reforms, but if we can get most of the reforms, get the savings that accompany it,” he said. “It is about saving money from taxpayers and reforming these programs in a way that makes them not only in the long term financial, but also strengthening and getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse in the programs.”

The Senate Democrats have committed to inflicting as much pain as possible through the process known as “Byrd Bath”, which tests if each provision, line by line, complies with the Byrd rule which governs the process of budget reconciliation.

Until now, the Senate parliamentarian, Elizabeth Macdonough, has ruled on several key provisions, including the rental of oil and gas, sales of public land, changes in the cost sharing formula for food benefits, among others, as being out of respect for the Byrd rule.

However, it was a multitude of decisions unveiled Thursday morning the many changes of the Senate Republicans brought to the widely used Medicaid program that sparked conservatives.

Among the focused arrangements, there was the more severe repression of the GOP Senate against the rate of the Medicaid supplier, or the amount that the state Medicaid programs pay to the providers on behalf of the beneficiaries of Medicaid, who have proven even a division policy among some of the conference.

Other provisions which were Nixées included the refusal of the financing of Medicaid states to have illegal immigrants on the service jets, preventing illegal immigrants from participating in Medicaid and the health insurance program (CHIP) and preventing funding from Medicaid and Chip from going to affirmative care.

The Republicans considered them as key changes in cost reduction, and their withdrawal has probably put its plan to put the gigantic bill on Trump’s desk by July 4.
