Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there was no “sign” that Russia is preparing to end the war in his country as President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is only a few days old to meet in Alaska.
The Ukrainian leader wrote on X on Wednesday: “This war must be completed. Pressure must be exerted on Russia for just peace. Ukraine and the experience of our partners must be used to prevent deception by Russia.
“At the moment, there is no sign that the Russians prepare to end the war. Our coordinated efforts and our joint actions-of Ukraine, the United States, Europe and all the countries seeking peace-can certainly force Russia to make peace,” he added.
Trump and Putin should meet in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday.
