Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the firm conditions on Saturday for a “real peace” before a raised challenge meeting with President Donald Trump on Monday.
Zelenskyy posted on X after his call with Trump and then with European leaders, after Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin met in Alaska to try to end the 3 and a half year war.
“The positions are clear. A real peace must be made, one that will last, not only another break between the Russian invasions,” wrote Zelenskyy.

“The murders must stop as soon as possible, the fire must cease both on the battlefield and in the sky, as well as against our port infrastructure. All prisoners of war and Ukrainian civilians must be released and children abducted by Russia must be returned.”
Zelenskyy has written that thousands of Ukrainians remain in captivity and must all be released, while adding that the pressure on Russia must be maintained while “aggression and occupation continue”.
In a follow -up article, Zelenskyy warned against Russian “betrayal” which could lead to attacks in order to gain a lever effect in the middle of the negotiations in progress.
“Based on the political and diplomatic situation around Ukraine, and knowing the betrayal of Russia, we plan that in the coming days, the Russian army could try to increase pressure and strikes against Ukrainian positions in order to create more favorable political circumstances for interviews with global actors,” he wrote.

Trump reveals 10 dishes to remember from Putin Summit in Hannity Interview
Zelenskyy is expected to meet Trump in the White House on Monday while the three nations are trying to end the bloodshed.
Trump wrote on Truth Social after Putin’s meeting that he thought that a peace agreement, rather than on a cease-fire, was ultimately the best way to resolve the war. Trump had asked for a ceasefire before meeting Putin.
“It was determined by all that the best way to put an end to the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a peace agreement, which would end the war, and not to a simple cease-fire agreement, which would not often keep,” wrote Trump.
He said that if Monday’s meeting with Zelenskyy is also going well, a meeting will be planned with Putin and “potentially, millions of people will be saved”.
Zelenskyy’s visit will mark his first return to the Oval Office since February, when Trump reprimanded him publicly for being “disrespectful” during a remarkable press briefing, which led to the collapse of a US-UKRAINE mineral agreement.
Although a peace agreement was not decided at Friday’s meeting Trump described it as a successful meeting with “a lot of progress” made. Putin expressed similar feelings, adding that the summit was a “constructive atmosphere of mutual respect”.
After his meeting with Putin, Trump also spoke to European leaders, who said they supported Trump’s Peace of Peace but insist that Ukraine must have guarantees of “ironwork” security to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
European leaders did not explain whether a peace agreement was preferable to a ceasefire.

“It will be up to Ukraine to make decisions on its territory. International borders must not be modified by force”, a declaration signed by various leaders, notably the French president Emmanuel Macron, the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
“No limitation should be imposed on the armed forces of Ukraine or on its cooperation with third countries. Russia cannot oppose its veto against the Way of Ukraine to the EU and NATO.”
In an interview with Fox News before returning to Washington, Trump insisted that the burden in the future could be on Zelenskyy “to do so”, but said that there would also be an involvement of European nations.
