Visitors do not sleep in benches, but a spokesperson for Winchester Cathedral told Fox News Digital that they would still have access to the cathedral nave.

“This seems to be the first vacation case offering short -term stays to temporary guests in a cathedral building located in the closure of the cathedral.”

Access includes visits and entry into areas “generally closed to the public, unless it is accompanied by a guide”, according to the official.

“Based on the files at our disposal, this seems to be the first case of a holiday party offering short -term stays to temporary customers in a cathedral building located in the closure of the cathedral – a first of its kind,” said the spokesperson.
