She first engaged with Biden when she was director of communications for the arm of the Senate Democrats campaign, the Senate Democrat campaign committee in the late 1980s.

Her husband, lawyer Robert Bauer, is also known as a figure closely on the Biden orbit – would have been his personal lawyer.

“If it’s a five -time room, Anita and Bob are two,” said a former nameless white house assistant NBC News in January 2023.

But his relationship with others in the Biden circle would sometimes have been difficult, in particular towards the end of his four -year term.

NBC News Reported in July 2024 that members of the Biden family discussed the question of whether the president should dismiss Dunn and Bauer in the benefits of his disastrous debate against Donald Trump, the chief of staff of the White House, rejected the reports as “unfounded and insulting rumors” in a statement to the workshop at the time.

His relationship with Hunter Biden in particular, the only living son of the former president, was several times on several occasions.

Dunn criticized the treatment by the president of forgiveness of his son Hunter at an event in December 2024, saying that she disagreed with the “timing” and the “justification”, describing it as a “attack on our judicial system”.

“If this forgiveness had been done at the end of the term in the context of compassion, the way many forgives will be made, I am sure, and many switches will be made, I think that would have been a different story”, Dunn said a panel of the New York Times at the Dealbook Summit 2024.

“So, I will say, I absolutely agree with the president’s decision here. I do not agree with the way it was done, I do not agree with the timing, and I do not agree, frankly, with the attack on our judicial system.”

Hunter, on the other hand, recently checked Dunn during a tirade against democratic agents during a recent interview on YouTube Show Channel 5.

He said that Dunn “had made 40 or 50 million dollars” of work on behalf of the Democratic Party, while going further in the criticisms of others like David Axelrod and James Carville.

However, Dunn made in particular those who continued to defend Biden after his debate – while criticizing the reaction of democratic colleagues on this subject.

“It was a bad debate, but it did not seem at all catastrophic, certainly in terms of voters,” said Dunn Politico magazine In August 2024, noting that she was looking at home debate while monitoring voters’ reactions in real time.

“What changed was 24 days of negative and horrible tireless attacks against Joe Biden …. from his own party and the press,” said Dunn.

She went further in this interview, describing the public criticism of “intimidation” of Biden while arguing that it was led by the media rather than by the voters themselves.

Biden’s long -standing assistant said he had to win up to $ 8 million if the president had re -elected

“(T) the data still did not support this. We look at them and we did not see huge changes. But we saw an environment in the press which was simply negative. And no one covered Trump,” said Dunn.

“I went to Wisconsin with (Biden) for an event, and people felt very strongly about intimidation. They did not like it, and the voters did not like it. They estimated that it was unfair and that it was bad. So, you had a lot of different things here. You know, there were clearly party leaders who decided to go forward To be public. “

Before joining the Biden campaign in 2020 and later his White House as a principal advisor, Dunn was known as a close ally of former president Barack Obama, having helped his 2008 and 2012 campaigns.
