The White House has issued a scathing response to former Vice President Kamala Harris after she suggested the administration was full of “crazy” “moms.”

“Kamala Harris should listen to an audio recording of her laughter before calling anyone crazy,” White House spokesperson Kush Desai told Fox News Digital on Tuesday.

Desai was responding to clips spreading like wildfire on social media, showing Harris speaking at an invitation-only event in Los Angeles on Monday, where she apparently lashed out at the Trump administration while addressing

“There are so many things about this moment that make people feel like they’ve lost their minds. When in fact, these mothers are crazy,” Harris said Monday at an event in Los Angeles titled “A Day of Unreasonable Talk.”

“I call it ‘The Freedom Tour,'” she added, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Harris did not identify the Trump administration by name during her speech. Her comments followed her explaining why she wrote her latest memoir, “107 Days,” which guides readers through the unprecedented 2024 election, when then-President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and handed the baton to Harris as the Democratic Party attempted to thwart a second Trump administration.

“One of the other reasons I wrote it is that history will write about it,” Harris told attendees. “And it was important to me that this be told in my present voice. And I would say that everyone, we are living the story right now. And all of you, as storytellers, are living this. You are not passive observers. You know it. You are living it.”

“And I’m going to ask you that all the emotions that we feel give those emotions, give that experience to the people you’re writing about and writing for. That brings me back to my point: helping people just put a label on it, even if it doesn’t change the circumstances,” she continued.

KAMALA HARRIS’ BOOK AND MEDIA TOUR SLAMMED BY LIBERAL CRITICS AS “embarrassing” and “unnecessary”

Harris is in the middle of a book tour to promote the memoir, making stops in New York, Houston, San Francisco and other cities before also touring Canada and the United Kingdom later in October and November.

The Los Angeles event was not included in his official book tour schedule. “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” is an annual event held in Los Angeles that brings together “culture makers – television writers, artists, producers, executives and digital storytellers” to cultivate a “meaningful connection between those who shape pop culture and those who drive social change,” according to the event’s website.

KAMALA HARRIS COMPLAINTS ABOUT “IMPOSSIBLE” LACK OF SUPPORT FROM BIDEN’S COMMS TEAM, INNER CIRCLE

Harris’ laughter and public remarks, dubbed “word salad” by critics, have long been mocked by Trump’s orbit, including President Donald Trump calling Harris the “laughing Kamala” during the 2024 election campaign, as well as the campaign running ads highlighting Harris’ laughter and examples of her past rambling remarks at the time.

“She’s worse than Bernie Sanders,” Trump said during an interview on Fox News in July 2024, just days after Biden dropped out of the race. “Now she’s trying to come back. She got rid of the laughter, I noticed. I didn’t see the crazy laugh. She’s crazy. That laugh? It’s the laugh of a crazy woman. But I noticed she wasn’t using that laugh anymore. Someone convinced her: ‘Don’t laugh, don’t laugh under any circumstances.’
