What you should know about the Gaza aid group supported by the United States and criticized by the UN

President Donald Trump approached the current hunger crisis in Gaza on Monday in Scotland, where he immediately approached the urgency of putting food in the enclave, while doing it in complete safety and safe.

GHF spokesperson Chapin Fay told Fox News Digital that GHF “had an exclusive mission: feeding the inhabitants of Gaza in a way that prevents Hamas from being able to fly or plunder or divert aid.” In addition to having a “zero diversion”, Fay said that GHF “put (help) directly in the hands of people who need it most”.

What does GHF provide the local population?

At its four distribution sites in Gaza, it provides sufficient assistance boxes to provide 2,400 daily calories to 5.5 people out of a total of 3.5 days. GHF sites are able to distribute, on average, 2 million meals in total per day.

Fay said GHF also launched a potato pilot program that saw “hundreds of tons of potatoes” delivered to Gaza.

Another new pilot program in combination with the NGO of Local AL-AMAL has allowed GHF to deliver 2,000 boxes of food to the families of Gaza. FAY said the GHF was in the process of scale the operation, checking hundreds of requests for information from the program announcement and working on the creation of additional local NGO partnerships.

Attacks against GHF’s help model

The UN castigated the distributions of the GHF, the general commissioner of the Agence of Rescue and the works of the United Nations (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, qualifying the organization of “abomination” which “provides only famine and shots to the people of Gaza”.

Although the major media titles are thick accusations of violence on GHF sites, Fay said that the reality of GHF distributions “is almost the opposite of what you read, what you see on television.”

Although he admitted that “there is chaos when thousands of desperate and hungry people are trying to get help,” he said that only two violent incidents occurred during GHF distributions. A jostle and a grenade attack that had two employees of American veterans were “terrorist attacks for Hamas,” he said.

The UN and many NGOs have also opposed the use by GHF of armed security to protect aid seekers. However, United Nations data shows that only 8% of the United Nations has reached its destination without being looted in the past 10 weeks, according to a Reuters report.

Fay says GHF is ready and willing to provide security support using the UN. “We have to stop claiming that there is only one way to get help from Gaza,” he said.

GHF adaptations and improvements in the field

While the GHF continues to help Gazans, Fay says that the organization has “adapted (ED) in a dynamic environment, and our distributions seem to take place more easily every day”.

The new adaptations include a red light to light light system to indicate whether the distribution sites are open and a suggestion of assistant seekers. The GHF has also added more stable onions to its help boxes.

FAY said workers also retain help to ensure that women and children receive necessary help. Because of this change, Fay says that he recently “saw the women go and smiling to our staff with their onions on the way back”.

GHF is expected to deliver its 100 millionth meal to the Gazans later this week.
