The candidate for the socialist town hall of the city of New York, Zohran Mamdani, was pressed Tuesday on his commitment to be the “worst nightmare” of President Trump as well as his ponder gel plan, which was criticized by many owners of the city.
“What I have said many and many times is that I will not adopt a reflexive approach by refusing to speak to one person, according to his policy,” said Mamdani, the national Fox News correspondent Brian Llenas, during a press conference on Tuesday when asked for his previous assertion that his administration will be the “president of Trump”.
“I am trying to work with anyone as long as it is for the benefit of New Yorkers,” continued Mamdani. “This is the distinction between me and Andrew Cuomo. One of the many has called Donald Trump not on the question of how to serve in New York, not on the question of how to protect this city from these cups, but rather how to work together to overthrow the will of democratic primary voters?”
Llenas followed by asking how voters can be assured that Mamdani will not be reflexive and can work with the White House, since it is currently on a press tour through the five arrondissements of the city which specifically attack Trump.

“What this tour reflects is the fact that Donald Trump attacks this city,” said Mamdani. “It attacks its inhabitants. He attacks the very fabric of what we call here. And we have talked about it in a tax sense, in terms of what it will mean to steal the food of the hungry, what it will mean to throw away the patients of their insurance, what it will mean even more difficult to afford the city.
Mamdani added that if Trump “wanted to get the phone” to work on issues such as cheap races, he “is ready to work with him”, but that cannot be a “partnership to the detriment of the inhabitants of the city”.
Mamdani faced strong criticisms, including the CEO of the Association des Apartments de New York, Kenny Burgos, in a recent interview with Fox News Digital, on his “gel” of rent in the city for some New Yorkers.

Mamdani was asked what he would say to those who say that rent frosts continue to keep the housing offer lower while refusing owners and manufacturers the funds necessary to build more accommodation or maintain their properties, a concern reproached by Burgos in his comments to Fox News Digital.
“The rent freezes which we are talking about, it was rent boles that have already taken place in New York,” replied Mamdani. “They have occurred three times under the previous administration. The problems we have of housing supply, these are long -term problems in New York, some of which have to do with politics and politics. Some of which also have to do with the process.”
“And these are of crucial importance for us to face as leaders of this city, because what we see is a rate of vacuum so low that it stifles the capacity of the city to continue to grow and to ensure that we can welcome more people here.”

Mamdani continued by saying what he “heard the owners” is the main concerns about insurance.
“”The fact that insurance has doubled in recent years and I have seen an example in a number of these owners meeting to create their own insurance entity, “said Mamdani.” I can massacre the name, but Milford Street Captive, which has managed to reduce insurance costs, it is something that the city can rely with greater investments. “”
“”I have also heard of these same owners as a problem they have is not that a tenant cannot afford an increase of 3 or 4 or 5% that the board of rent guidelines passes, in accordance with the Eric Adams directive. This is because there are tenants who cannot afford their rent, “said Mamdani.
Mamdani continued to ask for more rental vouchers, saying that there are “so many New Yorks living in housing stabilized to rent that can benefit from Cityfheps.
“This could actually increase the amount of money that these owners win at home in rent, but the city has not paid enough,” said Mamdani.
“These previous rent gels were temporary, right?”, Mamdani was pressed by Llenas.
“I talked about a four -year -old rent frost,” said Mamdani before moving on to the following question.
