First on Fox: Shortly after announcing a strategy for going after deceptive advertising for direct consumption by the pharmaceutical industry, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Ministry of Health and Social Services published a parody video of a medication advertisement – a pointed way of emphasizing the fact that the United States is largely unique to allow medication announcements.

“Tired of endless medication announcements promising quick solutions but leaving you more sick than before? This can change today. Ask your doctor Maha”, starts parody, referring to the initiative “Make America Healthy Again” in Kennedy.

“Maha can cause a healthier life, fewer chronic diseases and lower medication costs,” continues the video narrator. “Some Americans have pointed out more time spent in the family rather than in the pharmacy. Other side effects may include healthier children, a stronger nation, more transparency in health care, honest advertising and responsibility for Big Pharma.”

The parody of drug advertising comes after Kennedy and HHS have established their plans to target direct drug advertising to consumers – something that is not widely authorized outside the United States – in a new health strategy for children published earlier this month.

The strategy has indicated that it would increase the application of current law advertising law advertising, with priority on “blatant violations demonstrating damage to current practices”. The strategy noted that these violations could include the dissemination of “risks on risks and the quality of life thanks to a deceptive and misleading advertisement on social networks and digital platforms”.

The strategy to go after advertisements of direct drugs to consumers will also include internsit cooperation to explore the development of new potential industry directives that limit direct advertising to consumers for certain “unhealthy foods” to children. These efforts include “evaluation of the use of deceptive claims and images,” said the MAHA children’s strategy.

Kennedy declared alongside the publication of HHS parodic advertising that the Trump administration plans to start holding the pharmaceutical industry responsible for not sharing full security information in their medication advertisements on television, radio and beyond.

“More vital information masked in small impression, nor pushing it on a website, or a number 1-800,” said Kennedy in a video published jointly with parody advertising. He also noted that regulators have let pharmaceutical manufacturers avoid providing complete warnings in their marketing equipment.

Kennedy said in the accompanying video who, in the past, regulators allowed companies to mention a “major” risk of risk that forced consumers to go elsewhere for important details on the drug. The secretary said that this “escape” had opened the door to a “tsunami” of misleading advertisements.

“Medication announcements have brought about prescription medication costs and distorted doctor-patient conversations. Patients have seen brilliant announcements and often asked for new drugs,” Kennedy continued. “Big Pharma marketing has hung the country to prescription drugs. We take measures to put an end to this practice.”
