A republican legislator rings the alarm after the high school of his son broadcast segments on his television program managed by students concerning the “week of bisexual awareness”.

The representative Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, posted on X on the segment, saying that it was “so bad and inappropriate” that she refused to share it.

“As a mother and as a legislator, I am so dismayed that the school promotes sexual content to minors. What administrators have approved this content in the morning news program that entire studies look every morning? Why were parents not informed of this explicit content that our children would be forced to ensure responsibility – I will call an investigation by the Department of Education and work with the Governor Reynolds Investigation, “wrote. “She wrote.

The September 25 segment began with a student saying that Spectrum, the name of the Gay-Droite Alliance Club led by the School (GSA), approached the end of the “Bisexual Plus” week of awareness “.

“The spectrum is about to finish our celebration of the bisexual week more awareness,” said a student in The segment. “Do you know what the most represents? This means the inclusiveness of all non-monosexual identities. What does that mean, you ask? Well, I will tell you. A non-monosexual identity refers to sexual orientations which are not exclusively homosexual or heterosexual.

“Non -monosexual identities emphasize that the attraction can be complex and not limited to traditional binaries,” added the student, saying that there would be more on the subject the next day.

The Linn-Mars Community School District told Fox News Digital that he was aware of the segment and that he was investigating the situation.

“Currently, the district is examining to determine whether existing policies or procedures have been raped during the production or dissemination of the segment,” the district told Fox News Digital. “We remain determined to promote respectful dialogue and to support all students and staff in a safe and inclusive environment in a way that aligns with district guidelines and policies.”

Hinson, however, does not wait for the Linn-Mar-Mary community school district to end its exam. Instead, she sent a letter to the Secretary of Education Linda McMahon urging federal action on the situation.

“I write to draw attention to the blatant encroachment to the rights of parents at Linn -Mar high school – where my 14 -year -old son frequents school,” wrote Hinson. She said that in addition to the September 25 segment, there was a similar broadcast on September 23 in which students were encouraged to “use terms like Bisexual Plus to include all non -monosexual identities”.

“These segments have been disseminated to students without parental knowledge or consent. As a parent and legislator, I am dismayed that a school would assume the role of teaching and promoting sexual identity to our children. Our schools should educate students, not indoctrinate them,” added Hinson.

The deputy noted that the school had previously “deliberately excluded parents from conversations” on related issues.

“I urge the Ministry of Education to launch a complete investigation into this conduct at Linn-Mar high school and to ensure that parents make decisions concerning the education of their children and how to approach questions of sexual identity,” added Hinson.

Although the Ministry of Education has not yet commented on this specific situation, it has adopted a severe approach to conversations surrounding sexuality and identity under President Donald Trump.

On January 29, Trump made an order entitled “put an end to radical indoctrination in kindergarten in the 12th year”. In addition, in March, he made an order ordering the Secretary for Education to “take all the necessary measures to facilitate the closure of the Ministry of Education and the return of the States Education Authority”. In September 2025, the ministry was still operational.

Fox News Digital contacted the Ministry of Education to comment on Hinson’s allegations.
