EXCLUSIVE: The department of veterans (VA) will announce on Friday that it reverses an exception from the Biden era making it possible to provide abortion services to veterans, in what the ministry quoted as probable contrary to the current package of medical services prescribed by law.
In a memo obtained by Fox News Digital, the VA has declared that it would make its medical package and the advantages “Champva” at the time preceding a September 2022 in September 2022 agency rule which has deleted the longtime abortion restrictions.
All the medical services of 1999 which remain intact, prescribed by the plan of a law of 1992, do not authorize the abortion services because they are not considered to be “necessary” under the law.
“It is undoubtedly that the power to prohibit the supply of abortion services through the package of medical advantages goes to veterans,” said the memo, adding that the former direction of VA has made its adjustment in favor of the supply of abortions in response to the Dobbs decision of the Supreme Court which actually canceled Roe v. Wade.

Then-rep. Gillespie Montgomery, d-Miss., Available in its 1992 veterans’ health care law that the agency could provide women with multiple health services, including Papanicolaou tests (“Pap-Smears”), mammography and “general reproductive care, including menopause management”.
However, the law explicitly prevented the “infertility services (and) abortions” unless they relate to a pregnancy with “risks of complications (which) are increased by a disease connected to the service”.
“Before the politically motivated change in the Biden administration in 2022, federal law and a long-standing precedent in democratic and republican administrations have prevented will provide abortions and abortion councils,” a spokesperson for VA at Fox News Digital said by discussing the inversion of policies.

“The proposed rule to restore the pre-bitense bipartite policy, bringing the department back in accordance with historical standards.”
The Memo will add that Dobbs’ decision was to prevent control of overhaud and return to abortion policy in the United States and that the agency before current Secretary Doug Collins“The mandate” did exactly the opposite “of what he said that his change in policy in 2022 was intended to do in this regard.
“(IT) Create (ed) an alleged federal right to abortion for veterans where none had existed before, and regardless of the law of the state,” said the VA.

“For almost 50 years, and through a series of federal programs, notably Medicaid, the health insurance program for children, Tricare, the federal program of the benefits of employees and others, the congress has constantly drawn a light line between elective abortion and health care services that taxpayers would support.”
The agency also stressed that its reversal of politics will not prevent pregnant women faced with fatal circumstances from receiving care in these cases.
