US Open 2025: Karolina Muchova says she was emotional after seeing Ex in the stands

Czech tennis star Karolina Muchova needed to come together against her Romanian opponent, Sorana Cîrstea in the second round of the United States Open.
Muchova was down 4-1 in the second set on Thursday when she was to briefly stop the match. She started to become emotional and admitted after the match because she saw her ex-friendly friend sitting in the crowd.

She joined forces to defeat Cîrstea in three sets.
“Well … It was not linked to tennis,” she told journalists after the match, via athletics. “So, I don’t really like to talk about it. But in front of my bench, my ex-girlfriend sat down. He sometimes presents himself in places where he shouldn’t be. It surprised me a little. I told him to leave, he didn’t do it, but later he went. It was difficult to concentrate at that time.”
Muchova had not mentioned the man to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) or at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) before the start of the tournament and did not do it after the incident on Thursday, the Athletic reported.

Muchova said on Saturday after going to the 16 -year -old final that she was going well and did not report the person to tennis officials.

Muchova went to the semi-final to the US Open two years in a row. It was classified n ° 13 before the tournament.
