US Open 2025: Fan’s proposal is inspired by the Aryna Sabalenka match

Usually, love is reserved in court in tennis matches, but the rules were thrown at the edge of a little in an American open match on Friday evening.

“I think this is the first time that someone has offered during my match,” said Sabalenka. “It was a very soft moment, but I was just trying not to start smiling, because it’s very cute and I think they are super happy at the moment.”

Fans inside the stadium began to run up when they saw the man fall to one knee with the ring in his hands. He pushed the crowd to encourage them to become stronger.

The woman said, “Yes.”

“I was just trying to continue focusing on my game, and it was a great moment,” said Sabalenka. “And as I said in court, I wish them a happy marriage.”

Sabalenka defeated Fernandez in right sets, 6-3, 7-6 (2). She will play against Cristina Bucşa in 16 years.
