Even when Anisimova began to warm up, Sabalenka locked himself up and left his American opponent to browse the mistakes. She capitalized with ingenious shooting throughout the match.
Anisimova was broken at the start of the first set but was able to put her feet under her and make incredible shots to attach the first set to two each. But unlocked errors would come back to haunt her.
The native of the New Jersey watched the set move away from her. Sabalenka dug and could take the first set of her.
Anisimova won the first game in the second set after going back and forth with Sabalenka. Belarusian would block again. She countered a slice of Aisimova with a formidable drop shot and fought to win the third game in the second set. Anisimova managed to return to three games, even with powerful shots that Sabalenka could not reach.

Sabalenka was overwhelming for Anisimova. She was hitting her lace -up shots and dropped them into the corners of the courtyard that Anisimova could simply not happen.
But Anisimova managed a magnificent return. She capitalized on some of Sabalenka’s mistakes and even increased by 6-5 in the second set. Sabalenka then showed why she was always the best player in sport.
It was the first title of the Grand Chelem of Sabalenka in 2025. She failed in the final of the Open of France this year and was ousted in the final of the Australian Open of Madison Keys. Anisimova shocked it in Wimbledon but continued to lose against Iga Swiatek in straight sets.
She now has four Grand Chelem titles in her career. Last year, she beat Jessica Pegula to win the US Open.
