The staff of two of the most eminent universities in Tennessee – Vanderbilt and the University of Tennessee – was supported by infiltration records admitting having renamed their diversity, equity and inclusion programs (DEI) in order to bypass the prohibitions led by the Republicans.
Despite the orders of the States and Federals aimed at dismantling the initiatives of the DEI, the school officials described a deliberate strategy to rename, recondition and calmly preserve these controversial programs in new labels such as “access and commitment” and “belonging and the community”.
“It is a chess game,” said Will Eakin, coordinator of the “Access & Commitment” office of UT, in a recording obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital.
“We had to take our current programming and our future programming and ensuring that it aligns itself so that we can do the work we are trying to do, while responding to the Ministry of Education, the Federal,” continued the staff, adding: “The most important thing is to use the language as a protection tool.”
UT staff members also boasted of the quality of the school’s government relations team to help staff and teachers on how to manage anti-dei legislation at the levels of the state and the federal government.

“We have an incredible team of government relations,” said Eakin.
He said that the president of the UT, Randy Boyd, “although he is republican, is deeply concerned with access and commitment, and he has fully committed to Dei’s work and access and commitment, and he works in close collaboration with government relations when they go to Nashville.”
“Because our team of government relations is so good, they know what invoice to be aware, how to prepare for the best and everything. And we are there.
The staff member added that a few years ago, when state officials began to examine the Dei Universités practices, the government relations team and other university leaders have taken measures to “get ahead of the curve” to ensure that access and commitment, which is dei, could be maintained “.
“They therefore changed the language so that the government of the state cannot put us a magnifying glass,” added the staff of the UT.

A spokesperson for the University of Tennessee told Fox News Digital in a statement that the registration person “does not speak on behalf of the University of Senenssee and that their statements contain important important declarations.”
“We reject any innuendo that the university did not act in good faith in its efforts to meet all legal requirements. Our commitment remains clear: we are fully in accordance with state and federal laws, and our objective continues to be on the creation of a respectful environment that aligns on our mission of access and success for all students,” said school.
Meanwhile, in Vanderbilt, another major state university, a university coach of the “Center for Student Wellbeing” of the school said that although the names of their offices have changed, their dei missions did not do so.
“At one point, you know, everyone, like different universities, was the subject of an investigation for their practices, like Dei and things like that. This is why I think that the name has changed,” said IVie Carmouche, university coach of the Student Center for Vanderbilt.
“We are at the Center for Student Wellbeing-as I said, we have things that tell people and that we let people know that it is a safe space for everyone,” she said, adding: “belonging and the communities, it is as close to this work ofi that you can probably get. Previously, they were the Center for Social Justice and Identities.”

When asked if the renowned university center was still doing Dei’s work, Carmouche replied: “Yeah”.
“The language will be different because we have to be strategic. But there are a lot of collaborations with them, KC Potter House, Black Cultural Center, Women’s Center, as even in the center of women, they are very open and welcoming for all gender identities.”

“When I say different, it seems different now because the language must have changed. The student center for membership communities is a bit like Dei,” she added.
A spokesperson for Vanderbuilt said: “We are aware of recent secret recordings by external groups on university campuses nationally. In Vanderbilt, we are fully compliant with all applicable federal and state laws. All the comments of individual employees who suggest the opposite do not reflect the university policy and are examined by appropriate channels.”
