Ukrainian top spy shot in Kyiv, Russia, blamed for assassination: report

A high -level Ukrainian spy was killed Thursday in kyiv in broad daylight in a blamed attack on Russia, according to information.
Sources told Ukrainska Pravda That an unknown individual approached Colonel Ivan Voronych from the Ukraine Security Service around 9 am, the local time and pulled him five times with a pistol before fleeing the scene. A video allegedly showing that the ambush represented a man attacked by walking towards a vehicle outside an apartments building.
“A criminal investigation was opened on the murder of an SSU employee in the Holosiivskyi district of kyiv,” a spokesman for the Ukrainian agency told The Outlers. “The security service and the national police take full measures to establish all the circumstances of the crime and translate those responsible.”
Voronych has undergone several ball injuries and was declared dead on the scene, according to Ukrainska Pravda. The colonel led a division within the Ukraine Security Service which focused on high -level special operations and the fight against terrorism, The telegraph reported.
