The Tulane football team left with a dominant victory of 23-3 against the northwest on Saturday, but the green wave certainly had a personal vendetta against their opponent.

The Green Wave faced the Wildcats to the Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, a day after the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina who gave the ground in the city, which forced Tulane to play his home matches in five stades through Louisiana and Alabama.

Tulane chose to wear green helmets, similar to those of the 2005 team, and this team also wore white jerseys.

However, Northwestern, on the road, decided to go with the white tops of the opening of the season.

Tulane’s head coach Jon Sumrall said his team asked to wear white uniforms to commemorate the 2005 team, but he was refused. The home team generally has colors.

Sumral, said Sumrall, was a “motivation” for his team.

“It is their prerogative, but when you make a lack of respect for the city of New Orleans, that’s what will happen. You will meet a team like this,” said Sumrall After the match.

“They had a chip on their shoulder. I wanted to wear the same exact uniform that the team wore 20 years ago. The request was refused. We might have used a little motivation to represent the city. Do not fail to respect in New Orleans, never.”

The Superdome of New Orleans did not drive before 2006, and the Saints of New Orleans had to move.
