When Bove entered his role at Trump’s Doj, he warned the FBI in a great note that leadership would take “the action of staff” against FBI agents who participated in cases of January 6, which Trump “described as a” serious national injustice “which was perpetrated on the American people,” Bove wrote. The idea that thousands of employees who interacted in one way or another with a business of January 6 would see their job at risk prompted Bove to issue a monitoring note clarifying that the employees who simply followed the orders had no reason to worry.
