The Trump administration has urged the University of Virginia to withdraw its president to help resolve an investigation by the Ministry of Justice on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, according to a report.
The Ministry of Justice argued that the president of the University, James E. Ryan, has not dismantled his programs of diversity, equity and inclusion and distorted the measures taken to eliminate them, in the midst of administration efforts to eliminate Dei in higher education, reported the New York Times, citing people familiar with the problem.

The measures of the federal government targeting higher education include the realization of billions of dollars from elite universities such as Harvard, which has been the subject of at least six different federal agencies on issues such as Dei initiatives, admission practices and presumed anti -Semitism on the campus.
But it would be the first time that the administration has been pressure on a university to withdraw its president.
The call for the abolition of Ryan was made in several cases in several cases to university officials by Gregory Brown, the deputy assistant prosecutor for civil rights, according to the New York Times.
Brown, a graduate of the University of Virginia, played a decisive role in the survey. He told a University representative last week that Ryan had to go so that a survey could start, reported the point of sale.

According to Times,
Ryan, who was hired as president of the University in 2018, focused on increasing diversity at school, calling on more first generation students and encouraging community service, noted Times. These efforts have rocked the feathers of former conservatives and republican members of the board of directors who argue that he is “too awake” and wants to impose his beliefs on students.
Before his post as president of the university, Ryan was dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he received his recognition for his commitment to the Dei programs.

The conservative groups castigated Ryan for what they consider insufficient stages to compliance with the administration.
America First Legal, a non -profit organization launched by Trump advisor Stephen Miller accused the University of Virginia last month of presenting renamed Dei programs to bypass Trump’s orders.
“The change of mark of discrimination does not make it legal, and changing a label does not change the substance,” said Megan Redshaw, lawyer for America First Legal, in a statement at the time. “UVA use by the disinfected language and recycled employment securities is a deliberate attempt to bypass the law.”
