Trump announced on Sunday that he had signed an emergency order to help Kerr County, Texas, which was devastated on July 4 by sudden floods that led dozens of dead and other missing in the region.

“I have just signed a major statement in the event of a disaster for the county of Kerr, Texas, to make sure that our brave first stakeholders immediately have the resources they need,” Trump on Trum Social Sunday. “These families undergo an unimaginable tragedy, with many lost lives, and many still disappeared. The Trump administration continues to work closely with state and locals.”

“Internal security secretary Kristi Noem was on the ground yesterday with Governor Greg Abbott, who works hard to help the inhabitants of his great state,” he added. “Our incredible American coastline, with the first stakeholders of the state, saved more than 850 lives. May God bless families and that God bless Texas!”

Trump told the media that he would go to Texas and meet the inhabitants devastated by the floods and evaluate the damage later in the week.

“We wanted to go a little time,” Trump told the journalists on New Jersey on Sunday when he was asked if he planned to visit Texas. “I would have done it today, but we would be just on their way. Probably Friday.”

At least 80 people died of the floods, who first seized the region in the morning of independence, while at least 41 other people are still missing on Monday morning.

“It was something that happened in seconds. No one expected. No one saw it. Very talented people are there, and they didn’t see it,” said Trump. “It is, I guess they said that once every 100 years, they had never seen anything like it. I mean, people try to blame school. They try to blame the camps. It’s just a horrible thing.”

“I would just say it’s a 100 year old disaster, and it’s so horrible to watch,” said Trump.

Netanyahu of Israel will go with Trump to the White House later Monday to discuss Israel reaching a ceasefire with Gaza.

The meeting comes after the Trump administration collaborated with Israel for successful strikes on a trio of Iranian nuclear installations in June. Israel had launched preventive strikes on Iran in mid-June, launching a “12-day war” between the two nations that ended after the American strikes.

Trump to meet Netanyahu as he pushes a ceasefire between Israel, Gaza

Trump’s meeting with Netanyahu intervenes after having expressed his disapproval with Israel, as well as Iran, after having announced a cease-fire between Israel and Iran on June 24 which was followed by the nations which continued to exchange strikes. The two countries launched accusations against each other that they had violated the ceasefire before Trump expressed his dissatisfaction in a comment to the media.

“I’m not satisfied with them,” Trump told the White House on June 24. “I am not satisfied with Iran either, but I am really unhappy with Israel that is released this morning.”

The ceasefire has been confirmed.

The Monday meeting should focus on the current war between Israel and Hamas, which started on October 7, 2023, and continued to rage despite a previous ceasefire agreement at the beginning of 2025.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told journalists that Trump sought to resolve the conflict between Israel and Gaza and ensure the release of the remaining hostages in Gaza.

“It is heartbreaking to see the images that came out of Israel and Gaza throughout this war,” said Leavitt. “And the president wants to see him end. He wants to save lives and, however, the main priority for the President also remains to bring all the hostages to the house of Gaza. As you know, his tireless effort has brought many hostages back to the house, including all the hostages held there.”

Pricing negotiations continue

A 90 -day break on prices should end on July 9, after Trump announced for the first time the reciprocal prices on foreign nations in April. Trump told journalists on New Jersey on Sunday that his administration will begin to send letters to other nations on Monday by informing them that higher prices will now take effect on August 1.

“It could be 12, maybe 15,” Trump told journalists on Sunday. “And we have also concluded agreements, so we will have a combination of letters and certain offers have been concluded.”

The prices will return to April levels if the countries do not conclude by August 1, says Bessent

The current pricing negotiations follow the Congress passing through “Big and Beautiful Bill” of Trump, which advances the president’s agenda on taxes, immigration, energy, defense and national debt, and Trump signing it on Friday.

The secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, joined Shannon Bream of Fox News on Sunday and explained the new deadline of August 1, warning that the prices will return to April levels if foreign countries do not conclude a trade agreement by the beginning of August.

“Is it fair to say that there is a little break on the deadline of July 9 for some of these business partners?” Bream asked.

“I don’t think it’s a bit of a break because I think what happened is that there is a lot of congestion that presents itself in the inner section and, as part of the sales team, which is great to have President Trump on our side, is that he created a maximum lever effect,” replied.

“By telling our business partners that they could come back to April 2, I think it will really move things up in the coming days and weeks,” he added.
