“It was very clear,” she added. “Iran went for 60 days when it gave them a 60 -day warning without coming to the table.

Leavitt said there had been six cycles of direct and indirect negotiations with Iran. She said the talks continue but refused to provide details.

When asked if Trump struck Iran if the negotiations fail, Leavitt said on several occasions that the president would make a decision “if he should or not” in the next two weeks.

When he supported the reliability of this calendar, given the previous delays on other global issues, Leavitt said that the conflicts were different.

“President Trump inherited the global instability of the last administration. He is still interested in diplomacy but is not afraid to use strength,” said Leavitt.

Leavitt insisted that Iran cannot reach a nuclear bomb a position on several occasions indicated by Trump and Israel.

“The absolute priority of the president is to ensure that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon and ensure peace and stability in the Middle East.”
