Trump tells us that we are trying to recover Bagram aerodrome from the Taliban in Afghanistan

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that his administration “tried” to bring back the former American aerodrome of Bagram in Afghanistan “of the Taliban.
In remarks to the press while standing alongside British Prime Minister Kier Starmer, the president criticized the treatment of Afghanistan American withdrawal under President Joe Biden and said he had “a little news”.
“We are trying to recover it,” said Trump. “We try to recover it because they need things from us.”

Trump did not develop who he was referring to or, if he referred to the Taliban, the terrorist organization that took over the country in 2021, which they “want” from the United States.
“We want this base to come back, but one of the reasons why we want the base to be, as you know, it is an hour from where China makes its nuclear weapons,” added Trump.
