Trump tells Europe to stop funding the Ukraine Putin War through oil

President Donald Trump called on European leaders to stop “finance” the war of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine and accused them of not put pressure on China.

In a statement to Fox News Digital following a call between Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders who met in Paris for a coalition of the consenting summit, said a White House official: “President Trump stressed that Europe must stop buying Russian oil who finances war – because Russia received 1.1 billion euros ( $ 1.3 billion) in the sale of EU fuel for a year.

“The president also stressed that European leaders were to exert economic pressure on China to finance the war efforts of Russia,” added the official.

Putin invites Zelenskyy to a meeting in Moscow for security talks while bombing Ukraine

The EU has radically reduced its imports of Russian oil after the invasion of Ukraine, although the president’s comments underline that it has not completely cut its energy imports from Moscow.

The White House did not confirm where it drew its figures or the reference period.

The official underlined the fact that the United States under Trump was not a member of the coalition to support Ukraine and said: “French (French) (Emmanuel) Macron and European leaders called President Trump in their coalition of the voluntary meeting ”.

The special envoy of the White House, Steve Witkoff, also attended Reunion in Paris and was seen by giving Zelenskyy a handshake and a hug at the start of the meeting on Thursday, according to a video Posted by Macron’s office.

Despite the difficult tone of the White House, Macron described the coalition of willingly as having “made real progress in Paris” Thursday.

In an article on X, Zelenskyy said that the meeting focused on how to increase the “pressure” on Putin to end his three and a half year war.

“We talked about how to push the situation towards real peace,” said Zelenskyy. “We have discussed different options, and the most important is the pressure, using solid measures, in particular economic measures, to force the end of the war.

“The key to peace is to deprive the Russian war machine, depriving it of resources,” he added.

Zelenskyy also said that leaders have discussed how to better defend Ukraine’s sky against the constant missile and drone attacks by Russia, although the White House has not answered Fox News Digital questions on the issue of whether the United States has promised additional support.

“Ukraine has proposed a format to protect our sky so that the United States can consider,” said Zelenskyy. “I thank President Trump for supporting our people. We have agreed new contacts.”

The meeting intervened one day after Putin met Chinese President Xi Jinping and the North Korean leader Kim Jong one in Bejing for a military parade commemorating the cessation of hostilities of the Second World War 80 years ago.

China and North Korea remained firm supporters of Putin during his war in Ukraine and in the middle of the West reprimand.

Putin also invited Zelenskyy to meet him in Moscow, which Ukrainian and Western security officials reported as fallacious in the middle of Trump pressure for the couple to meet.

Trump said he would speak with Putin in the coming days.
