President Donald Trump signed a memorandum establishing a working group on Monday to fight crime in Memphis, Tennessee, similar to his initiative repressing crime in Washington.
“I sign a presidential memorandum to establish the working group of Memphis Safe,” said Trump in the oval office on Monday. “And it is very important because of the crime that happens, not only in Memphis, in many cities, that we are going to take care of all a step by step, just as we have done at DC”
Trump said the effort would include the National Guard, the FBI, the alcohol office, tobacco, firearms and explosives, DRUG Enforcement Administration, inquiries on internal security and immigration and customs application.
