President Donald Trump is open to talks with the North Korean leader Kim Jong a “without any prerequisite,” said a White House official, while the Minister of Unification of South Korea warned Pyongyang missiles to be able to reach the American continent.
“President Trump, during his first mandate, held three historic heights with the North Korean leader Kim Jong one who stabilized the Korean peninsula. American policy on North Korea has not changed,” said a White House manager at Fox News Digital. “President Trump remains open to speak with Kim Jong Un, without any prerequisite.”
The South Korean Minister of Unification, Chung Dong-Young, used the blunt language in Berlin this week, saying to journalists: “North Korea has become one of the three countries capable of attacking the American continent”, according to the Yonhap news agency. “What must be recognized must be recognized rationally.”
The White House did not respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital on Chung’s complaint.

Yonhap also pointed out that Chung said that “Pyongyang’s strategic position was different in 2018 when Trump and Kim held their first summit in Singapore.
“Recognizing this reality should be the starting point” in the treatment of the regime, Chung told journalists.
But experts say that North Korea has long kept the ability to reach the American continent with intercontinental ballistic missiles.
“They tested the ICBMs for a long time,” Bob Peters, principal researcher for strategic deterrence at the Heritage Foundation, said.
“The question, then, for a long time, have they have an warhead which can pass under a cone of nose on an ICBM which passes by definition, exo atmospheric, stops then reaches a target with a semblance of precision then explode and produce a nuclear yield,” added Peters. “This is the real question-do they have this ability? This is not what it looked like to the South Korean minister.”

Meanwhile, Kim said that dialogue with the United States was possible, but according to his conditions.
“If the United States abandons the absurd obsession to denucleize us and accept reality, and wants a real peaceful coexistence, there is no reason why we do not sit with the United States,” said Kim, cited Kim.
A meeting with Kim would make the fourth sit from Trump with the dictator, at a time when his nation is again increasingly hostile to American interests.
In July, the White House said that Trump “was open to engage with leader Kim to make a fully denucleted North Korea”. But North Korea said that it would not respond to the American president if he was going to demand denuclearization.
On Monday, the Deputy North Korean Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim his Gyong, told the United Nations General Assembly that his country would never abandon its nuclear program, Reuters reported.
Trump is expected to go to Asia later this month for a summit of economic leaders with South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung. A senior American official said that no demilitarized zone meeting with Kim is currently on the agenda.

Reports have suggested that Trump could meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Summit of Economic Cooperation in Asia-Pacific on October 30-NOV. 1, although the plans are always finalized.
During a call last month, XI invited Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to visit China. Trump made the invitation.
The same official said that progress in nuclear talks depends on China.
“The first thing that should happen is that the Chinese recognize and are more transparent about their own programs,” said the official.

The American estimates put the nuclear arsenal of China at around 600 warheads in 2024, with projections of 1,000 by 2030. North Korea would have approximately 50 warheads, with enough fissile equipment up to 90.
Pyongyang last year said an “irreversible hegemonic position” after testing its Intercontinental Hwasong-19 ballistic missile, which, according to North Korea, can hit the American continent.
