EXCLUSIVE: President Trump congratulated the director of the FBI on Saturday, Kash Patel, for the remarkable speed at which the office identified and captured the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk.

Tyler Robinson, 22, was caught in his hometown of Washington, Utah, only 33 hours after pretending to be pulled on Kirk on a roof on the campus of the University of Utah Valley. The captured came after a frenzied man hunt that started with only grainy images of the figure of the suspect fleeing the scene.

According to the FBI, Robinson was seen on campus on September 10, the day Kirk was shot dead, probably leading to recognition between 8:28 a.m. and 9:34 a.m. to 11:52 a.m., Robinson returned, climbed an external staircase to the roof of the Losee building, and took a position at the highest level of the roof at 12:22 p.m., according to officials. He would have shot Kirk a minute later.

Robinson then lowered himself from the roof and fell on the ground, the authorities said. Two minutes after pretending to be killed Kirk, Robinson fell into a neighboring wooded area, where the pistol was later found.

The local FBI was on the scene immediately after filming, and Patel arrived around 5.30 p.m. local time on September 11.

Patel also went to the roof where Robinson would have perched and retraced his steps while he fled, including in the wooded area where the pistol, a Mauser 30.06 rifle, was found.

Patel personally directed the agents when they dealt with evidence and were preparing to send it to Quantico, the ATF laboratories or local laboratories. Sources told Fox News Digital that Patel then ordered that the evidence was loaded on an airplane with an initial criminalic and evidence collected and returned it to the FBI laboratories for treatment.

A source of application of the law told Fox News Digital that, generally, when evidence is collected in an investigation, an agent ships it to the laboratories. But the source said that Patel has ordered that evidence and fingerprints be returned to Quantico via the plane – walking in the collection and provision of evidence.

“DNA was analyzed throughout the night because the director was there and he was directing all of this,” the source told Fox News Digital. “He managed everyone and said,” You are going to take out the evidence now. “”

The source added: “The evidence returned to fast speed laboratories. That is why it was caught so quickly.”

Fox News Digital has also learned that Patel, against all recommendations, demanded that the suspect’s video sequences be published to the public.

A source of application of the familiar law told Fox News Digital that Robinson’s father, who finally returned it to the authorities, told the FBI that he had recognized his son in this published video.
