President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin landed in Anchorage, Alaska, and started their delayed talks in the pursuit of the end of the war in Ukraine.
The meeting marks the first time that the leaders of the United States and Russia have gathered in person since Putin launched her deadly invasion of Ukraine over three and a half years.
The meeting, which started around 3:30 p.m., should last several hours, with initial estimates that are approximately four hours, although the Kremlin reported that the talks could last up to seven hours.

Trump said before the meeting that he would not conclude an agreement or will not grant territorial concessions concerning Ukraine, although questions carried out at the head of high -level talks on the question of whether Washington forged a mineral agreement with Moscow.

Trump said he would call Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders immediately after his discussions with Putin.
It is not clear if Trump and Putin are addressed to the press after high -level meetings.
