Trump praises tax relief for the “vast majority” of seniors on the anniversary of Social Security

Donald Trump will publish a presidential proclamation on Thursday in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Social Security Act, which will praise the achievements of his administration in the improvement of the program, including the legislative provisions which will help the vast majority of the elderly to pay “a zero tax” on their social security services.
The Social Security Act was promulgated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1935 during the Great Depression. The bill was aimed at creating a federal security net to help Americans unemployment, illness, disability, death and elderly age.

“In this 90th anniversary of the Social Security Act, we recognize the countless contributions from each American senior who has invested their time, their talent and their resources in the future of our country,” writes Trump in his proclamation.
“On this important step, we recommend that we strengthen our pension system, protect programs such as social security and health insurance against fraud and abuse, and ensuring that each future generation of American citizens has the security of income they need and have won.”
