Trump plans to honor Ben Carson with the Presidential Liberty Medal

President Donald Trump announced that Dr. Ben Carson would receive the presidential medal of freedom, noting that there will be a ceremony in the White House to honor him.

“Congratulations Ben. He didn’t know it. He didn’t know it. I hope he is happy,” said Trump after making the announcement at the end of his remarks at the founders of the American Cornerstone Institute on Saturday.

Carson, which founded the ACI, was secretary of housing and urban development during Trump’s first term.

Carson, a former neurosurgeon, presented himself to the presidency when Trump set up his first successful offer from the White House, but finally abandoned and supported Trump in 2016.

Carson supports the American senator Lindsey Graham, Rs.C., for re -election.
