Donald Trump has been answered Marjorie Taylor Greene He called for his resignation as a congressman on Friday – and the president doesn’t seem at all bothered by the departure of his former friend and supporter, calling the move “great for the country.”
Trump spoke by phone with an ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott Last night when he made his first statements about… MTG resigns from CongressWhich was announced earlier today.
“I think it’s great news for the country. It’s great,” Trump told Scott, according to her X posts.
When Scott asked if he had been alerted, Trump replied: “No, it doesn’t matter, you know but I think it’s great. I think she should be happy.”

It was Trump and Greene At each other’s throats Since they recently parted ways over the Epstein files and other issues, such as affordability.
Greene, a hardline Republican from Georgia who was one of Trump’s biggest supporters, demanded re-election Release of Epstein files While Trump tried to block the move until this week, when he suddenly changed his mind and signed the bill to make it available. The Ministry of Justice has until December 19 to release the files publicly.
In response to Greene’s criticism, Trump, in classic Trump fashion, called her “Marjorie an idiot” and called her a “ranting lunatic.”
I think Marjorie is off Trump’s Christmas list this year.
