Zelenskyy said to `Special report ”, his relationship with Trump has improved

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Fox News presenter, Bret Bret Baier, in an exclusive interview with “a special relationship” that his relationship with President Donald Trump approached, with more frequent communication and a stronger alignment with the way of managing the current war with Russia.
Asked by Baier directly if his ties with Trump had improved, Zelenskyy said: “I think we have better relations than before. It is good that we often (have) have telephone calls and meetings, and the fact that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin was lying to President Trump so many times also a difference between us.”
Zelenskyy also said that the intelligence shared between kyiv and Washington is now more closely aligned, which he described as important to make decisions on the battlefield.

During the program, Baier read part of a social message of truth in which Trump said that Ukraine, with European support and NATO, could reconquer its entire territory. Zelenskyy admitted that the prospects surprised him but called him encouraging.
“President Trump was more positive, and he showed that he wanted to support Ukraine until the end,” said Zelenskyy. “I was very positive about the signals on the side that Trump and America will be with us until the end of the war.”
Zelenskyy said Trump understands the need for stronger measures against Moscow. He called for a pressure directly on the energy sector and the banking system of Russia and said that other sanctions were expected from the United States

He added that Trump’s position has moved to territorial concessions.
“I think he understands today that we cannot just exchange territories. It’s not fair,” said Zelenskyy.
The interview marked the clearest signal in Zelenskyy, which he believes that Trump’s administration is attached to the defense of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian chief said he wanted the conflict to end as quickly as possible, while warning that Putin did not want to negotiate in good faith.

“As I said, we are ready for peace, but we have to be in a strong position,” Zelenskyy told Baier.
The White House did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
