Trump authorizes pricing income to finance the WIC when the government closed

The white house press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump authorized a plan to use pricing income to maintain the WIC nutrition program during the government’s closure, promising the administration “will not allow mothers and children to hungry”.
In a PublishLeavitt accused Democrats of “voting cruelly to close the government”, saying that their actions have forced the special additional nutrition program for women, infants and children, or WIC, to lack funds this week.
Leavitt added that Trump had ordered the authorities to draw pricing income from section 232 to maintain WIC.
The White House confirmed to Fox News that the plan is a short -term “creative solution” developed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

“The Trump White House will not allow poor mothers and their babies to hungry because of the political games of democrats,” Leavitt said in a statement.
The amount of price money will be used has not yet been disclosed, but the infusion should cover costs “in the predictable future”. The program had to exhaust its funds in a few weeks.
WIC offers good for healthy foods, breastfeeding assistance and nutritional education at around 6 million women and children on a national level.
