President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that the United States had agreed to sell weapons to NATO for a few moments after declaring that Russian President Vladimir Putin has 50 days to conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine or to face “100%” prices.

NATO secretary general, Mark Rutte, said Trump called him on Thursday to confirm that he wanted to conclude an agreement with NATO allies to sell them weapons for helping Ukraine.

Trump said billions of dollars in American weapons would be bought from Allies like Germany, Finland and Denmark who will be “quickly distributed” to Ukraine.

Trump says that we are sending wet missiles in Ukraine, adds that Putin speaks well and then he bomb everyone ‘

“It’s really tall,” Rutte told journalists from the Oval Office sitting alongside Trump.

Rutte, who said that the decision was built on the “huge success” of the NATO summit of last month when almost all the alliance nations agreed to increase their defense expenses to reach 5% of the GDP of their nation, called the “logical” move.

“They are still standing European nations,” added Rutte. “I am in contact with many countries, I can tell you at the moment Germany, massively, but also Finland and Denmark and Sweden and Norway, we have the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Canada – they all want to be part of it.

“And this is only the first wave. There will be more,” confirmed Rutte. “So what we will do is work on NATO systems to make sure we know what Ukrainians need.”

Trump considering more help from Ukraine as frustration towards Russia grows

Rutte said he had already met the defense secretary Pete Hegseth to ensure that the United States maintains what he needs for his stocks but also works with NATO allies to respond to Ukraine’s defense orders.

Trump said he was “very unhappy” from Moscow and had expressed his frustration about what he thought he had to be an agreement concluded at least “two months ago”.

The two leaders said they thought they had an agreement with Putin four times, but then “bombs would be thrown that evening, and you would say – we are making no offer,” Trump told journalists.

“I talk to him a lot about doing this thing, and I always hang up saying:” Well, it was a beautiful phone call “, then missiles are launched in kyiv or in another city, and I would say” Strange “, said Trump by telling his conversations with Putin.” And after that happens three or four times, say, the speech means nothing. “
