Republican Representative Mike Collins On Monday, announced its candidacy for the US Senate in Georgia, in a crucial race for the GOP while the party aims to extend its majority to the Senate in the mid-term elections next year.

Collins aims to challenge the Democratic senator Jon Ossoff, who presents himself to a re -election in the key state of the Southeastern Battleground that the president Donald Trump Too much in last year’s elections. “Jon Ossoff does not represent the values of Georgia and attacked the best interests of our state on each occasion. The president of the Democratic Party of Georgia, Charlie Bailey, targeted Collins, accusing that he “is an extremist of Maga who wants to increase retirement age, voted against complete social security benefits for the first stakeholders, supported dangerous anti -Semetic rhetoric and supports a ban on federal abortion without exception.”

Bailey added in a press release according to which “this already disorderly primary will expose how much collins is out of step with the voters of Georgia when the Republicans become to prove who is most in line with the toxic agenda of Trump, the deep cups of Medicaid and the economic chaos”.

Collins was a leader of the president, the supporter while Trump first presented himself for the republican presidential appointment in the 2016 cycle.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, when Trump recognized the White House, Collins traveled in the name of Trump in the primary states and the crucial voting of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Georgia John King’s insurance commissioner also appeared for republican appointment, but ended his offer on Thursday.

The former football coach of the University of Tennessee, Derek Dooley, who is the son of the former football coach of the University of Georgia, Vince Dooley, also plans an offer from the Senate. The young Dooley is close to Kemp, who is a longtime friend.

And when Kemp and his team progressed with Dooley, it upset Trump’s advisers, who, according to sources, were “already quite annoyed” that Kemp had adopted earlier this year to face Ossoff in the race for the Senate.

“We had an agreement to work together,” a political source from Trump Orbit on Fox News on Friday. “Kemp came out alone – who frustrated and annoyed Trump Orbit.”

But a source close to the governor told Fox News that he was not true in fact that they were told to retire on Doley.
