Trump accuses Schumer of extortion on confirmations of candidates in the Senate

President Donald Trump was unleashed to the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer on Wednesday, accusing the legislator of “extortion” for having kept Trump’s candidates in the Senate.

Trump made the declaration of his social story of truth, arguing that never in American history has been so many candidates of the President in drip in the Senate. The Senate Republicans had negotiated with Schumer to accelerate the appointment process this week, but the talks defeated.

“The politically besieged senator, Cryin ‘Chuck Schumer, wants the Republicans to pay, like extortion, two billion dollars so that the radical democrats approved the hundreds of Trump’s appointments who have been waiting for months and are impatient,” Trump wrote.

“It has never happened before. There has never been, in American history, such a delay. These are extorters! Republicans must create legislation in order to get out of the understanding of these country’s hatred thugs. Move quickly!” He added.

The legislators left Washington on Monday without agreement, leaving the Republicans deeply frustrated by Schumer and the Democrats of the Senate for their unprecedented bossier of each of Trump’s candidates. Only Secretary of State Marco Rubio received a fluid confirmation.

“I think that this way will happen anyway, because of what Schumer did. He forced this, and it is ridiculous that he does this,” said the senator. Markwayne MullinR-on., Said on Tuesday. “And so, whatever, we are at this stage, and we will do it, you know what they say, each action requires (reaction) equal, and that’s what we are right now.”

Currently, more than 1,200 positions assume a confirmation of the Senate. The Senate Republicans have been able to confirm Trump’s choices so far, but more than 140 nominees are still awaiting the Senate calendar.

“I think they desperately need change,” said the majority leader in the Senate John ThuneRs.d., journalists told Tuesday. “I think the last six months have shown that this process, the appointments, is broken. And so I expect there to be good robust conversations on this subject.”
