First on Fox: After an administrator of George Washington University described on social networks why the assassination of Charlie Kirk was “fair”, the university confirmed that it was no longer employed.

“Last Saturday, the University asked that by waiting for a more in-depth examination, the staff member leaves campus due to the impact that his social media post had on his ability to do his special work,” said a spokesman for George Washington University in a statement. “The staff member is no longer employed by the university.”

The employee in question, Anthony Pohorilak, the former deputy director of academic initiatives at the Mount Vernon campus of the University of George Washington, published on Facebook: “If nothing else, it is just, in a nation where children are massacred by armed violence on the regular, the people who plead for the property of firearms.

“No thought, no prayers,” added Pohorilak in his article, reported for the first time by Fox News Digital, who got up shortly after the murder of Kirk when he was addressed to UTAH students.

George Washington University declared in a statement to Fox News Digital at the time that the school was “one of the most politically committed campus communities in the country” and thinks that “everyone has the right to its beliefs, and that no one should ever be subject to violence for expressed their point of view.

“This individual employee is not authorized to speak on behalf of GW, and his opinions do not reflect those of the university.”

In the coming days, the conservatives on social networks have launched a campaign to exhibit people who tried to justify the political assassination, which led dozens of layoffs.

On Saturday morning, the university sent an email to the students obtained by Fox News Digital, saying that “improved security measures” were implemented on the campus, adding: “In response to the media coverage of the publication of the social media of a staff member, some members of our community received threatening communications from non-GW.”

The indignation in the face of the administrator and the school’s response spread over social media, and the chapter of American young people for the University’s freedom published a statement condemning the position.

“GW YAF makes a distinction and condemns the declaration of a recent administrator”, the group of conservative students Posted on Instagram. “In the shadow of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, we carry out the danger of political violence and the need for useful dialogue.

“This administrator took advantage of this period of despair and anxiety to propose that Mr. Kirk, thanks to his rigorous defense of the second amendment, was in a way responsible for his death and other tragedies,” he continued.

“This argument is not made of good faith.

The group added that even if it supports freedom of expression, “we also carry out the need for a political dialogue which is really productive.

“But as conservatives on a university campus, we understand students’ fears for the future of sure freedom of expression. This administrator was opposite to these concerns. To gain political points when students fear from our political process are irresponsible.”
