“ Titanic efforts’ to sabotage the Trump-Putin summit, warns the Russian envoy

A higher member of the inner circle of Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that several countries increased “Titanic’s” efforts to undermine the next summit between the Russian leader and the President Donald Trump.
The two leaders should meet in Alaska on August 15, although Trump’s announcement, made via a social article from truth on Friday, offered few additional details on the summit. It is also not known if the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be invited to join the talks while the uninsured war of the Kremlin extends in its fourth year.

“Without a doubt, a certain number of countries interested in continuing the conflict will make Titanic efforts to disrupt the planned meeting between President Putin and President Trump,” Russia’s investment envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, wrote on Saturday in a telegram post, referring to the Kremlin war in Ukraine.
Although Dmitriev has not appointed specific countries, he warned that criticisms of the upcoming talks could seek to sabotage the summit by diplomatic maneuvers or media -focused provocations. Several NATO countries in Europe have been openly skeptical of any agreement which rewards the Russian aggression in the three -year war.

Dmitriev, who met officials of the Trump administration in Washington in April, was nicknamed Poutine “Minister of Foreign Affairs” for its behind the scenes in the formation of world diplomacy in Russia.
As the head of the Kremlin sovereign fund and a recently appointed special envoy, he often acted as an informal bridge between Moscow and Washington.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin said in a Declaration on Saturday What Trump and Putin should “focus on the discussion of options to obtain a long -term peaceful resolution for the Ukrainian crisis”.
“It will obviously be a difficult process, but we will take it actively and energetically,” added the press release.
Trump has already said that Poutine And Zelenskyy was close to a cease-fire contract, but suggested that kyiv should concede an important territory, a result to which Ukrainians and many European allies oppose.
