Three culprits in Russian warehouse fire linked to Intelligence in London

A British jury sentenced three criminal fire men on Tuesday during an attack on an East London warehouse which stored equipment for Ukraine. Authorities said Russian intelligence was behind the plot.

Prosecutors said the attack on March 20, 2024 was planned by agents of the Wagner mercenary group in Russia, acting in the name of Russian military intelligence. The British government has judged Wagner a terrorist organization.

The accusation said that Wagner had used British intermediaries to recruit men to target an industrial unit in Leyton, eastern London, where generators and starlink satellite equipment for Ukraine were stored. Starlinks are frequently used by Ukraine soldiers to repel the invasion of Russia.

The authorities said that the criminal fire was part of a disturbance campaign across Europe that Western officials blamefully in Moscow and its attorney.

A jury at the Central Criminal Court of London found Jakeem Rose, 23 years old; Ugnius Asmena, 20; And Nii Mensah, 23, guilty of aggravated criminal fire. A fourth man, Paul English, 61, was acquitted.

The fire caused approximately 1 million pounds ($ 1.35 million) of damage. The prosecutors said that the attack had been orchestrated by Dylan Earl, 21, and Jake Reeves, 23, who pleaded guilty to an aggravated criminal fire on behalf of the Wagner group before the start of the trial. They also pleaded guilty to offenses under the national security law of the United Kingdom 2023.

Two other men were tried on the criminal fire and related plots. One was found guilty on Tuesday not having disclosed information on terrorist acts, while the other was authorized.
