Massie and Khanna announced this decision and support the legislation during a joint appearance in ABC News “this week” with the host Jonathan Karl. In addition to the appeal to assignments, pair legislation would oblige a vote in the House on the release of government’s Epstein files.
“Well, I think we should get much more than the book. Come on the financial files of the succession. Where are it – follow the money, as they say here,” said Massie. “We should examine the right deal. Open that. See what was the problem. What was the agreement that was concluded? I think there is much more than this letter.”
Massie also said that the Americans should see the supposed birthday letter that President Donald Trump wrote to Epstein in 2003. The letter was reported for the first time by the Wall Street Journal, but Trump denies that there is and continued the Differ.

The president of the Chamber, Mike Johnson, avoided a vote planned for the legislation last week by starting the recess of August one day earlier. Johnson appeared on “Meet the Press” by NBC News on Sunday and called Massie and Khanna “reckless” for pushing the legislation.
He argued that he was favorable to a “maximum disclosure” for Epstein files, but said that Massie and Khanna’s legislation had no guarantees.
