The WNBA coach claims that recent disturbances perpetuate the “sexualization of women”

The WNBA continued to be prey to obscene disturbances this week while fans of the league arenas disturbed the game by throwing adult toys on the ground.

For Minnesota lynx Head coach Cheryl Reeve, the “farce”, as some call it, is much more serious than a simple viral moment.

“It has been going on for centuries-the sexualization of women,” she told journalists on Thursday after the team.

“This is the latest version of this. And it’s not funny. And it shouldn’t be the target of jokes on radio programs or on paper or in comments.”

Obscene objects were launched in at least six WNBA games in the last week and a half. The first occurred in a match in Atlanta on July 29. The league has threatened with legal proceedings and at least one year’s ban against all fans who try similar waterfalls in WNBA matches.
