The International Booker Prize is the most influential literary prize in the world for translated fiction, with its £ 50,000 award which is also divided between authors and translators. He made his debut as an international Man Booker price in 2005, and examined the best novels and collections of news that have been translated into English and published in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
This year, the judges have chosen Heart lamp By Banu Mushtaq as the best work translated of the year. The victory marks the first time that the prize was granted to a collection of news. The collection itself examines the daily life of women and girls in Muslim communities in southern India.
