EXCLUSIVE: On Monday, the White House science and technology office ordered federal agencies to implement principles of “Gold Standard Science” to depoliticize science and restore public confidence, Fox News Digital learned.

Michael Kratsios, director of science and technology policies of the White House, sent advice to federal research agencies on Monday morning, incorporating President Donald Trump’s executive decree on “the restoration of the science of gold standards”.

President Trump, in May, signed a decree to restore the “science of gold standards” as the cornerstone of federal scientific research.

“Gold Standard Science” is “reproducible, transparent and falsifiable”, according to order.

He is also “subject to an impartial peer exam; clearly on errors and uncertainties; skeptical as to hypotheses; collaborative and interdisciplinary; Accept negative results as positive results; and free from conflicts of interest ”.

The executive decree has reinforced “scientific integrity policies” of the first Trump administration and “guarantees that science is no longer manipulated or poorly used to justify political ends”.

“The gold of the science of gold standards of President Trump will transform the conduct and management of federal science, from research to public communication, in order to strengthen scientific survey, to rebuild public confidence and to ensure that the United States continues to be the world leader in rigorous sciences and based on evidence,” KRATSIOS to Fox Newsi. “But federal agencies are only part of the research ecosystem of our country.”

Kratsios added: “American universities, scientific journals, industry and philanthropic leaders all have a crucial role in improving the overall quality of research, and we encourage this executive action to serve as a model for the whole of the scientific enterprise.”

Kratsios sent the Memo to federal agencies Monday morning to provide advice to federal departments and agencies on the implementation of the science of gold standards “in the conduct and management of all aspects of their scientific activities, from the design of research to public communication”.

“By adopting these standards, agencies will strengthen scientific investigation, will reconstruct public confidence and ensure that the United States continues as a world leader in rigorous sciences and based on evidence,” said the service note.

Kratsios said that the “science of gold standards” represents a “commitment to the highest standards of scientific integrity, defined by nine basic principles: reproducible; transparent; communicative of error and uncertainty; collaborative and interdisciplinary; skeptically on his conclusions and his assaults; structured for the falsifiability of hypotheses; subject to insufficient conflicts; interest.”

“These principles guarantee that the research and research supported by the federal government used in federal decision -making is transparent, rigorous and impactful, which allows federal decisions to be informed by the most credible, reliable and impartial scientific evidence,” Kratsios wrote in directives.

But the “science of golden standards” is not limited to science, said Kratsios, saying that it is also essential to meet the complex challenges of energy innovation and national security.

“At a time of rapid technological progress and increased public control, a federal government financial and a science efficient by the federal government, and its use in federal decision-making, must be beyond reproaches,” he wrote.

As for the conduct of science “without conflicts of interest”, Kratsios said it was imperative to ensure that “research is designed, executed, examined and reported without financial, personal or institutional influences that could biaise the results or undermine objectivity”.

“This approach is important to generate new confidence and credible knowledge, because it confirms scientific integrity, promotes public confidence and guarantees that the results reflect evidence rather than external agendas,” said memo. “Maintaining freedom of conflicts of interest requires researchers, examiners and managers to disclose all relevant affiliations, funding sources and relevant relationships for science, adhering to strict ethical standards supported by solid institutional surveillance, transparent reporting systems and independent expert exam mechanisms.”

Kratsios has said that agencies must “prioritize the conduct and management of scientific research without conflicts of interest to advance impartial science” and must “require the disclosure of all conflicts of interest relevant by researchers, examiners and agency officials involved in the funding or performance of federal research”.

“These efforts include a complete and standardized disclosure of all financial, personal or institutional interests in research proposals, publications, peers and merit exams and data benchmarks, with clear and standardized protocols to identify, mitigate and manage potential prejudices,” indicates memo. “Agency should impose the use of independent surveillance approaches and apply strict conflict of interest policies.”

Agencies have 60 days to describe the plans for implementing “Gold Standards”, including training plans and resources to guarantee that agency staff understand the new policy and the use of artificial intelligence tools when practical.

After Trump signed the executive order of May to restore the science of golden standards, a senior White House official said that there had been a drop in “disruptive research” and investments in biomedical research, as well as “serious cases” of fraud and fault and the inability to reproduce scientific methods in order to restore public confidence.

The manager also blamed political responses to COVVI-19 Pandemic and “Awakened Dei initiatives” for endangering public confidence in government scientists.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital in April, Kratsios echoed Trump, saying that the United States is in the “Golden Age” and that this special moment in time is “supported by an incredible science and technology”.
