This is the mission accomplished for the Republicans in a second state that they control in the political battle with high issues on the redistribution of the Congress, opposing President Donald Trump and the GOP against the Democrats.

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe signed a new Congress card last weekend, which is likely to give Republicans an additional seat in the House of US Representatives before next year’s end.

The Missouri, a unique swing state that has moved considerably to the right in the last decade and a half, is the last battlefield of the Congress Rediscussing Confrontation after the passage of new cards in Texas dominated by the GOP and a repeat outbursing by Democrats in highly blue California.

Democrats currently needing a three-seater pick-up halfway up next year to win back the majority of the room, each seat could be critical.

“I was proud to officially sign the first Missouri card today before the mid-term elections in 2026,” Kehoe said in a statement. “We believe that this card best represents Missourians, and I appreciate the support and efforts of the legislators of the States, our delegation from the Congress and President Trump to bring this card to my office.”

Trump, in a social media declaration after the adoption of the state legislature dominated by the GOP last month, called the new “fantastic” card and said that “will help an additional Maga Republican in the congress in the mid-term elections in 2026”.

The Republicans currently control six of the eight seats in the Missouri Congress.

Democrats promise to fight against new cards with legal challenges and other opponents collect petition signatures to force a referendum on the level of the state on the Redecoupage law.

Abbott erases the final redistribution while the Senate of Texas succeeds in a new card approved by Trump

Kehoe announced the Missouri special legislative session to adopt the new card as a republican governor. Greg Abbott Du Texas was reported in a redistribution bill adopted by republican supermajority in the State Legislative Assembly which aims to create up to five districts of the Congress on the right to the detriment of the current seats controlled by the Democrats in the reliable red state.

The moves in Missouri and Texas are part of a wide effort of the GOP to fill its majority at the time of a thin house like the razor to keep control of the mid-term chamber of 2026, when the ruling party is traditionally confronted with winds-contrary and loses seats.

Trump and his political team aim to prevent what happened during his first mandate in the White House, when the Democrats recovered the majority of the room in the 2018 mid-term elections.

Democrats fight against the rare, but not unknown to the redistribution of mid-December.

California state legislators approved a special voting proposal in November to obtain voters approval to temporarily divert the state -owned redistribution commission and refer the power to draw the Congress maps to the legislature dominated by the Democrats.

The effort in California, which aims to create five other districts of the Democratic Congress and to counter the change in Texas, is led by the Governor to two mandates. Gavin Newsomwhich is considered a probable democrat presidential competitor in 2028.

With the new cards in Texas and Missouri, which signed the law, and voters in California weighing the ballot boxes this fall, here is an overview of the states that could be the next in the battle of redistribution.

Ohio

The state legislators’ state of Buckeye missed a deadline last Tuesday to approve a new bipartite card. They are under the order of the court to propose a new card because that used the last two electoral cycles has not received enough bipartisan support.

Since the GOP controlled state legislature has failed to propose a new card, the task is now falling to the redistribution commission dominated by the Ohio Republicans, which has until the end of the month to do the work.

Ohio was once a battlefield state, but the Republicans dominated the competitions across the state in the last decade.

The Republicans currently hold ten of the 15 seats in the American American house.

Ohio, due to the compulsory judicial ordinance of a new card, was originally the only state which should undergo a redistribution of the congress this year before Trump and his political team exhort other states controlled by the Republican to modify their cards.

Indiana

The legislators of the state of Hoosier, another battlefield of once when the Republicans are now firmly mainly, could meet during a special legislative session later this year to pass through the redistribution.

Vice-president JD Vance visited the Indiana Statehouse in early August to snuggle up with republican leaders on redistribution. And a few weeks later, a group of GOP legislators from Indiana went to the national capital to meet Vance and other Trump’s White House leaders.

Republican governor Mike Braun, in recent interviews, said he wanted state legislators to take the lead on redistribution.

“I want it to be where it was not forced to our legislature, that our leaders speak to their own members of the Caucus,” the governor told Wowo Radio.

Florida

Formerly the greatest price in the battlefield of the presidential elections, Florida is now firmly red.

And Republican leaders are thinking about a new map, with the governor of GOP Ron Desantis this summer by calling the “appropriate” “mid-December.

A panel selected in the state legislature with republican predominance could meet next month to start the discussion on the redistribution of the congress.

Maryland

Strongly blue Maryland Democrats weigh a redistribution.

A bill that would allow Maryland to undergo a redistribution in mid-December if another state has adopted new cards for the first time this summer by the Democrats.

Democrats currently hold seven of the 8 seats in the American Chamber of the State.

The other states planning to modify their cards are the Illinois dominated by the Democrats and the red states of Kansas and Nebraska.

Meanwhile, Democrats could seek a siege in Utah dominated by the Republicans, where a judge recently ordered the legislature controlled by the GOP to draw new cards after judging that the legislators have ignored an independent commission approved by voters four years ago to prevent the partisan gerrymandering.
