The United States condemns Israeli air strikes in Syria, explains that the FDI has misjudged the Syrian tribal conflict

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that the United States does not support recent Israeli air strikes on Syria and have called for a “dialogue” between the two powers in the Middle East.
“The United States unequivocally condemn violence. All parties must take a step back and engage in a significant dialogue that leads to a sustainable ceasefire,” said Bruce during a press briefing of the State Department on Thursday afternoon.

Wednesday, Israeli air strikes in the Syrian capital of Damascus struck the seat of the Ministry of the Pays de la Défense and an area near the presidential palace, killing three and injuring dozens of others, according to information.
The Israeli army said that it intervenes to defend the minority population Druze in southern Syria, a community that shares a border with Israel, in the midst of the armed skirmishes between the local Bedouin Sunni tribes and the recently installed Syrian government.

“We act decisively to prevent the lessee of hostile elements beyond the border, protect Israeli citizens and prevent damage from Druze civilians,” said Eyal Zamir, head of the Israeli defense forces, during a situational assessment on the Syrian border.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday afternoon that an agreement had been concluded between Israel and Syria to end the “disturbing and horrible situation”.
“This will force all the parties to keep the commitments they have made, and that is what we fully expect them to do,” he added.

“Recognizing all parties for their break in chaos and confusion while we try to navigate all games to a more sustainable and peaceful solution in Syria,” added an American Syria Barrack Syria.
When he was asked on Thursday what prompted Israeli strikes and if the United States suspected foreign fighters, such as the Islamic State, from being involved in the conflict in Syria between the Bedouins and the Druzes, Bruce said that it would take a continuous investigation to determine exactly why this Israeli air strike has occurred.
Rubio said on Wednesday that he thought that Israel’s strike on the Syrian capital of Damascus was “likely” due to “a misunderstanding”.
Bruce answered journalists’ questions on what American officials wanted to say when they said that the “confusion” and the “misunderstanding” of Israel led to their involvement on Thursday.

“This is an old rivalry between the Druze and the Bedouins and the violence ensued, the Syrians moving in this region to repress and stop this violence. And the Israelis, who see this occurring in the Druze community and their concerns, then entered what they evaluated.
“The good news is that the story is that it has stopped, as in the management of this broader conflict. Again, there are still skirmishes and other problems.
