The Ukrainian sniper broke the world record with a 13,000 -foot boost: report

On Thursday, a Ukrainian sniper unit would have broken the world record for the longest death of confirmed elite shooters, eliminating Russian troops at a distance of more than 13,000 feet (4,000 meters).
The shot, pulled by a rifle produced by the Ukrainian and helped by artificial intelligence and the advice of drones, made two Russian soldiers who died in the region of Pokrovsk, in Ukraine, the Kyiv post reported.
“The record shooting was carried out on August 14, 2025, using artificial intelligence under the direction of a complex (an unmanned air vehicle) with a 14.5 mm alligator rifle,” said military journalist Yuri Botusov, according to the Kyiv Post.

The shooting took place among the increased Russian attacks in the region surrounding Pokrovsk, which was once a city of more than 60,000 inhabitants, the post reported.

The previous world record belonged to a 58 -year -old Ukrainian sniper who eliminated a target at a distance of approximately 12,400 feet (3,800 meters), added the point of sale.

The record shot would have taken place one day before the closely watched summit of President Donald Trump on Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin, who spoke first during a joint press conference held by the two world leaders, described talks as a “constructive atmosphere of mutual respect”.
