The star bronze veteran is launching the GOP campaign for the Governor of Massachusetts

In a video launch video shared for the first time with Fox News on Wednesday, Minogue said that “workers were left behind” and that the “current unique system for Massachusetts does not work. What we need is a new type of civil servant”.

“I run to be a new type of governor, one with faith, heart and grain to serve”, ” Minogue announced.

Minogue is a graduate of West Point and Airborne Ranger who received a bronze star during his service in Operation Desert Storm during the 1991 Gulf War.

He noted that his military career “brought me home to Massachusetts, where I became CEO of Abiomed for 19 years, a public company that built the smallest heart pumps in the world”.

And the husband and the father of five stressed: “I spent my life running towards problems and repairing them, making a big difference.”

According to a press release from its campaign, the Minogue agenda focuses “on the restoration of affordability, responsibility and opportunities in the Massachusetts.

Minogue becomes the third major republican candidate for the race, following the former secretary of Massachusetts in housing and economic development Mike Kennealy and Brian Shortesleeve, former director -in -head and interim managing director of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.

In the race for the appointment of the Democratic Party, Healey faces a long -term primary challenge of the defender of criminal justice Andrea James.
