The socialist appointment of Mamdani divides the Democrats while the Republicans capitalize

New York Democrats suddenly have more problems than the back of New York Yankees.

But the Yankees have the possibility of solving some of their problems before the commercial deadline of July 31.

However, there is no deadline for a policy.

And some conservative and moderate democrats want there to be an exemption thread. Especially for the Democratic candidate of the New York town hall, Zorhan Mamdani.

Mamdani’s incapacity to go back these positions could cause a calculation in the Democratic Party: “ Harning to five alarms’ ”

The appointment of the self -proclaimed democratic socialist flashes the party. Democrats are still looking for a unified message after the elections. And the appointment of Mamdani highlights these divisions. Many great democrats have not yet approved. And the distant sects of democrats could the Democrats of the Chamber of Primary Holders – including the head of the minority of the Hakeem Jeffries Chamber, DN.Y. – Unless they support Mamdani.

Republicans revel in democratic divisions.

“If Zohran Mamdani becomes mayor of New York, it will put a lot of seats at game in New York,” predicted representative Mike Lawler, Rn.y.

Lawler represents a battlefield district just north of the city. Democrats must defeat Lawler – and probably the representative Nick Lalota, Rn.y. Long Island – if they have a chance to return the house.

Again, the potential way to a democratic majority with the majority of the chamber passes through the State Empire. The victories of Lawler, Lalota and the former representative Anthony d’Esposito, RN.Y., are one of the reasons why the Republicans overturned the house – but barely – in 2022.

Now Mamdani’s socialism threatens to lead a schism as wide as Broadway through the Democratic Party. His main victory echoes other swing districts now held by Democrats. And the appointment of Mamdani presents the Republicans an opportunity for plum to modify the trajectory of house races near the Big Apple.

This is why Lawler bask in the appointment of Mamdani. And the Democrats who represent swing districts, such as representative Tom Suozzi, Dn.y., and Laura Gillen, Dn.y., are frank on Mamdani and try to build a firewall between him and their candidacies for re-election in 2026.

There is fear that Mamdani can jerk the party on the left.

“He is not even a democrat,” said senator John Fetterman, D-Penn., About Mamdani. “He offered the GOP the opportunity to mark our party.”

And the Republicans do that exactly.

“He is a legitimate communist,” proclaimed Senator Eric Schmitt, R-MO. “I think that candidates like Mamdani could continue to push them further on the left.”

“It would be a gift for the republican party,” said senator John Kennedy, R-La., About Mamdani. “Each person had a child in class growing up who ate dough. I think the new potential mayor of New York will be that children and democrats do not know what to do.”

In college, Mamdani supported an anti-Israelian boycott. And during the pandemic, Mamdani pushed the seizure of luxury condos by the government to host the homeless.

The Republicans hope that Mamdani shapes the perceptions of voters.

“I’m just going to let him speak,” said Kennedy about Mamdani. “I mean you never interfere with your opponent when he kicks the ass.”

But some Democrats are skeptical about what Mamdani’s success resonates elsewhere while we go up to the middle.

“What’s going on in New York is not what will happen in Vermont or Colorado or Texas. It will be a local race,” said senator Peter Welch, D-VT.

Mamdani suggests democratic unity.

“The conversations I had with the Governor (New York) (Kathy) Hochul (D) and (the chief of the Hakeem room) Jeffries, Dn.y., and the Senator (Chuck) Schumer, Dn.y.), were productive,” said Mamdani.

But Hochul has not yet approved Mamdani. The same with Jeffries and Schumer. Jeffries plans to snuggle up with Mamdani on Friday. Schumer says that he spoke by phone on Mamdani on Monday evening and that he will visit him “in New York”.

However, the president of the Hispanic Caucus of the Congress. Adriano EspailtDN.Y., just approved Mamdani.

“We will come together and we, as a good democrats, will develop our differences,” said Spaillat.

But Mike Lawler believes that the best Democrats in New York will eventually support Mamdani. He says they will have no choice.

Republicans relentlessly use Mamdani as a socialist cake to hit vulnerable democrats

“They are all petrified that if they do not climb on board with the radical socialist who is now the holder of their party that they will face primaries,” said Lawler.

Mamdani’s allies threaten the main challenges against five Democrats in New York Chamber – including Jeffries.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.y., is a great supporter of Mamdani and brought him to Washington to meet other Democrats.

“I think that many people just need to know people before they made approval. I hope this conversation can be constructive to bring the party together and come together behind our candidate,” said Ocasio-Cortez about the breakfast meeting.

But the Republicans continued to have a day on the ground by associating Mamdani with other Democrats. In particular by bringing together Mamdani and Ocasio-Cortez.

“With whom you say a lot about you as an individual. I think these are two peas in a pod. Two socialists who want to change America for the worst,” said representative Mark Alford, R-MO.

“It strengthens the distance to the left of the Democrats and the radical elements of the party take over in the Democratic Party,” said representative John Moolenaar, R-Mich.

But some Democrats – who are not from New York – are more than happy to visit Mamdani.

“What Mamdani has shown us, a large part of the ways we are talking about the cost of living. And this is the same thing that (the president) Donald Trump has talked about,” said representative Mark Takano, D-Calif., The best democrat of the Affairs Committee for Veterans.

Representative Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., Said he had “large disagreements” with Mamdani and called him “socialist”. But Moskowitz said Mamdani’s success offered that something Democrats should think about.

“He had a very good campaign online. So I’m going to go listen,” said Moskowitz. “Each district is different. Some of the things he talks about in New York City will not work in Boca Raton. Okay. But when it comes to the way you do a digital campaign, I think there is something to learn.”

But for the Republicans, listening to Mamdani is the same as that of him. And the Republicans will probably take ownership of everything that Mamdani does and project it on the Democrats on a national scale.

Unlike baseball, Democrats cannot exchange Mamdani now. They cannot put it in the bench. It is in their alignment – whether they like it or not.
