The Senate has advanced a set of spending bills late Friday evening, breaking a partisan blocking that threatened to derail the government’s financing process.
The displacement of the three bills, in particular the financing of bills for military construction and the affairs of veterans, agriculture and the food and drug administration (FDA) and the legislative branch, appeared on ICE for a large part of the week as a legislator after the legislator on each side of the aisle.
But a path to follow was found, and the bills were placed on the ground, and after several votes on the modifications, the final package was adopted. However, the bill to finance legislative management was added to the package separately in response to a roadblock by senator John Kennedy, R-La., Who finally sold to allow the bill to strike the floor.
He announced his intention to vote against this piece of the package because the bill increased spending, like the others, but specifically for the congress.

“I just think we have to give an example, and when we increase our expenses by 6% and others less,” Kennedy told the Senate. “We send a message that we are special, and I don’t think we are.”
Now he goes to the House, where the Republicans are already exasperated that the Senate bills exceed their approved expenditure levels.
The advancement of bills is a victory for members of the Senate credit committee and for the Republican Directorate, which works to ward off a possible government judgment as tensions on the “big and beautiful bill” and the Calwack package of $ 9 billion by President Donald Trump. It is also the first time since 2018 that the Upper Chamber has adopted spending invoices before September.

“These bills all mean a lot for each of us,” said the president of the Senate credit committee, Susan Collins, R-Maine, upstairs.
The head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, Dn.y., previously threatened that if the Republicans passed with the cancellation package, this would have serious effects on the next sprint to finance the government.
But, with the deadline to finance the government by September 30 – or to adopt a short -term financing extension – a rapid approach, none of the parties wants to bear blame for exploding the credits process, at least for the moment.

By going through the spending package in the upper chamber turned out to be a bright point, legislators are still looking for a forward path to confirm a slew of Trump candidates.

The president has replenished his call to the Republican Directorate of the Senate to cancel the recess to pass each candidate on the Senate calendar, which has now reached more than 150 choices, while the Democrats continue to block the process.
Legislators should vote on a trio of candidates on Friday evening and should take place on almost a dozen more during the weekend, unless an agreement is concluded.
