The Sheehy bill would order the Attorney General Pam Bondi to identify and publish a list of anarchist jurisdictions. If a city is on the list, their funding would be endangered.
From there, the Director of the Rush Management and Budget Office Vought Office would publish advice to heads of various federal agencies to restrict the eligibility for anarchist jurisdictions to receive federal subsidies, according to the text of the bill.
“It is not too much for the Americans to ask that their local governments put the security of their people, but too often, far -left officials allow violent criminals to wreak havoc on families, communities and companies without consequences,” said Sheehy in a declaration to Fox News Digital.
“Ensure that the dollars of taxpayers go to the communities that support the law and ensure their citizens in security is America in the first direction,” he continued.

The thrust occurs from the anti-gloss riots in Los Angeles, where Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass pushed the deportation operations of the Trump administration. In the aftermath of the riots, the Trump administration earlier this month filed a complaint against the city of Los Angeles, where he allegedly alleged that city policies interfere with the federal immigration authorities to do their job.
And last month, a companion in the bill was presented to the House by representative Tony Wied, R-Wis.
“I am grateful to Shheehy Senator to stand with me and declare that we will no longer allow radical elected officials to be rewarded for having put violent extremists on law -respecting citizens,” Wied said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “They must either restore the rule of law in their communities, or lose their federal funding. They cannot have both.”

The bill aims to codify a service note authorized by Trump during his first mandate on the troubles of major cities across the country after the death of George Floyd.
At the time, Trump argued that his “administration will not allow federal taxes to finance cities which allow themselves to deteriorate in areas without law”.
